Project Interiors refurb play area
As part of Project Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting The Pankhurst Trust (incorporating Manchester Women’s Aid), the Project Interiors team recently completed the refurbishment of a children’s playroom within one of the charity’s refuges.
The project focused on creating a warm, calming and welcoming environment where children living in refuge can feel safe, comfortable and able to simply be themselves. The team transformed the previously bright yellow space with a more considered design, creating an environment that supports both play and relaxation.
The playroom also provides an important setting for play therapy, giving children a safe space to explore their feelings, process their experiences and begin to heal. For families arriving at refuge during an incredibly difficult period in their lives, creating spaces that feel homely and reassuring can make an important difference.
We’re proud of the Project Interiors team for using their design expertise to support such a worthwhile cause and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the vital work Manchester Women’s Aid does to support women, children and families affected by domestic abuse.
