Project Group Sponsors Pontefract Collieries U9 Reds Team

Project Group is proud to be supporting grassroots football in the local community through its sponsorship of Pontefract Collieries U9s Reds for the 2026/27 season.

As a company, we’re committed to giving back to the communities in which we work, and we recognise the valuable role that grassroots sport plays in bringing people together and helping young people thrive.

While football provides an opportunity to develop sporting skills, the benefits of being part of a grassroots team extend well beyond what happens on the pitch. For young players, being part of a team can help build friendships, confidence and resilience, while teaching important values such as teamwork, commitment, respect and responsibility.

Grassroots sport also provides an opportunity for young people to stay active and support their physical and mental wellbeing in a positive, social environment. It brings together players, coaches, parents and families, helping to create a strong sense of community and belonging.

We’re therefore delighted to be able to support the Pontefract Collieries U9s Reds as they begin their 2026/27 season, and we hope our sponsorship can play a small part in helping the team continue to enjoy their football and develop both on and off the pitch.

We’d like to wish all of the players, coaches and families a fantastic season.
